Junior Systems Administrator

Do you have experience in Standard operating procedures drafting?, School Pathways, a leading software solutions provider for K-12 schools, is seeking a motivated Junior Systems Administrator with foundational experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting RHEL/CentOS, AlmaLinux-based servers in an enterprise SaaS environment. • Experience in server and workstation monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Respond to system alerts and escalate issues when needed
• Participate in on-call rotation with guidance from senior staff
• Reliable transportation and the ability to move, lift and install 1U and 2U servers (7-25lbs)
• Ability to perform periodic on-site work in Sacramento and San Jose
• Support server provisioning, configuration, and updates
• Help maintain documentation and standard operating procedures
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication in English

Ideal Candidates

• Have 1-2 years of Unix/Linux server administration
• Are comfortable working in a Red Hat environment and eager to deepen their expertise
• Have familiarity with networking concepts and infrastructure systems
• Understand the process required to provision and configure server hardware (e.g., SuperMicro)
• Have exposure to backup systems and data management
• Are motivated, curious, and willing to learn from senior team members
