BruckEdwards is seeking a skilled and proactive Senior System Engineer who will be a key part of a team that designs, builds, and supports an enterprise Government high-value asset system using cutting-edge products and tools. This role supports mission-critical federal identity management programs and ensures compliance with federal cybersecurity standards, including FISMA and NIST. The position will be responsible for all aspects of system operation and maintenance to safeguard sensitive information and ensure high availability of services in a secure environment., * Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, including hardware and software
- Develop and engineer new hardware and software solutions to meet best practices, security, and compliance standards
- Support the deployment and configuration of hardware and software
- Maintain documentation of configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Support and perform system upgrades, patching, and migrations

- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Monday - Friday, onsite in Manassas, VA
- 10+ years of experience in system administration, engineering, information assurance, or cybersecurity roles (preferably supporting federal IT projects)
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience in administering a highly available customer-serving infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science
- Additional years of professional experience and IT certifications may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
- An associate's degree, plus 4 years of experience, can equate to a bachelor's degree
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher compliant certification, e.g., GSEC, Security+
- Proven experience with Red Hat Linux Administration
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Be a self-starter who is not afraid to speak up and voice their opinions, as well as a skilled generalist who has the confidence to take on whatever projects are needed
- Ability to write clear, detailed, and accurate system documentation
