Job description
This position is onsite at our Henrico, VA office. We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined team member who is interested in transitioning into the IT Department. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and helping others, and wants to grow their career in IT. The IT Support Specialist will assist with day-to-day technology support across the company, including preparing devices for new employees, troubleshooting user issues, and learning core IT systems and infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare computers, phones, tablets, and other devices for new employees
- Configure user accounts, passwords, email access, and basic system permissions
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with device inventory, equipment tracking, and asset management
- Learn and support systems including Active Directory, networking, security tools, and company applications
- Work with the IT team to maintain system security and user access standards
- Help document IT procedures and support processes
- Escalate complex technical issues when needed while continuing to learn and develop technical skills
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Strong interest in technology and IT support
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and customer service mindset
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Reliable and able to manage multiple tasks effectively, * Prior experience helping users with technical issues
- Familiarity with Windows computers, mobile devices, printers, or office technology
- Basic understanding of networking, security, or Active Directory is a plus
- CompTIA A+ or similar certifications are a plus but not required
