Job description
Department 425, Electrical Systems Software and Cybersecurity, is seeking a Management Systems Coordinator - IT. The Management Systems Coordinator maintains and optimizes shipboard submarine IT systems and test support equipment. This hands-on technical role ensures that applications, networks, and hardware are reliable, secure, and continuously available with minimal disruption to operations. Develop and maintain system security plans, POA&Ms, and all required risk management artifacts in support of the RMF process. This position requires domestic travel up to 25% or 2-5 days a month.
Requirements
Do you have experience in System risk assessment (security system operation)?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or a related field or 3-5 years of experience in IT.
- Required experience with NIST800-171 and NIST800-53
- Required demonstrated experience with the full RMF lifecycle (NIST800-37)
- Must have the ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Security clearance.
Preferred:
- Must be proficient and familiar with manipulation of settings within Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and real-time operating systems.
Skills:
- Expert critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex IT issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical information to non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to work with active directory, various networking topologies, and group policy.
