Job description
The Applications Test Coordinator is a hands-on role responsible for executing product testing and supporting process validation within the Applications Department. This position plays a key role in sample preparation, equipment operation, real-time data collection and accurate documentation for customer trials and internal development projects., * Prepare, label and organize test samples in accordance with approved protocols.
- Verify sample identification, quantities, and condition prior to testing.
- Set up, operate and monitor R&D testing equipment, including:
- Spiral and tunnel freezers.
- Chillers and preparation equipment.
- Temperature probs and data loggers.
- Follow documented start-up, operation and shutdown procedures.
- Monitor tests in real time and report deviations promptly.
- Accurately record test data, including:
- Infeed and discharge temperatures
- Test and dwell times
- Product weights and dimensions
- Environmental or operational observations
- Complete required documentation in real time.
- Photograph test setups and configurations as required.
- Upload and organize documentation for clients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of testing areas and tools.
- Support cross-training and team coverage during peak testing periods.
- Performing other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Time management?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical, food science, or manufacturing training preferred.
- Experience in a laboratory, food production, manufacturing, or testing environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with food safety practices.
- Basic computer proficiency (data entry, file uploads, documentation).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments.
- Manual dexterity to handle probes, instruments, and small components.
- Proper use of required PPE at all times is required.
- Full-time schedule; hours may vary based on testing needs.
- Overtime or extended hours may be required during customer trials.
