Are you a seasoned DevSecOps engineer passionate about building secure, scalable, automated cloud environments? Join our team driving the sustainment and evolution of mission-critical platforms supporting defense and enterprise customers. In this role, you'll take ownership of complex Azure-based systems, refine and optimize CI/CD pipelines, strengthen cybersecurity posture, and guide modernization initiatives. You'll work with a collaborative, forward-leaning team that values innovation, autonomy, and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact opportunity where your expertise directly shapes system reliability, security, and mission success.
This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Maintain Azure production and lower environments, including implementing security patches and vulnerability remediation.
. Execute and optimize software deployments across multiple environments.
. Perform database backups and support data reliability for PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
. Review container scan findings, coordinate remediation activities with CyberSecurity teams, and ensure compliance with security standards.
. Manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and support recurring cybersecurity reviews.
. Coordinate deployment approvals with hosting providers and stakeholders.
. Execute software upgrades, improve system resiliency, and troubleshoot production issues.
. Implement, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
. Monitor and tune infrastructure using Azure Monitor, leveraging Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of directly related DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure experience.
. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience).
. Active Secret Clearance required
. Security+ certification required
. Technical Skills:

Strong experience with Azure and Kubernetes.

Proficiency in Terraform and GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with Azure Monitor and container security best practices.

Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
. Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps-aligned environments.
. Strong communication and cross-team coordination abilities.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
. Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity compliance processes and enterprise service transitions.
. Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and tooling.
. Experience across diverse cloud environments and modern DevOps toolchains.
. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and mentor junior engineers., + CompTIA Security+ DevOps Engineering

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 - $245,500.00.
