Job description
A publicly traded pharmaceutical company is seeking a SAP System Administrator to be responsible for supporting day-to-day SAP system operations, including monitoring system health, assisting with user administration, managing transports, and resolving basic technical issues. The admin has experience supporting SAP security administration, access governance processes, LMS operations, SAP Cloud Platforms and enterprise user support in a fast-paced business environment., * Support daily SAP Basis operations across S/4HANA landscapes
- Monitor system performance, logs, work processes, dumps, and system health
- Perform Transport Management System (TMS) activities and cross-system transport movement
- Support SAP user administration, role maintenance, and authorization troubleshooting
- Assist in SAP system refreshes, client copies, and landscape maintenance activities
- Support SAP kernel patching, Support Pack upgrades, and system updates
- Work with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) environments for monitoring and basic administration
- Troubleshoot common issues (ABAP dumps, RFC failures, interface errors, lock issues)
- Document system activities, operational procedures, and incident resolution steps
- Follow ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management processes, Amphastar reports payments and other transfers of value to health care providers as required by federal and state transparency laws and implementing regulations. These laws and regulations require Amphastar to provide government agencies with information such as a health care provider's name, address, and the type of payments or other value received, generally for public disclosure. Subject to further legal review and statutory or regulatory clarification, which Amphastar intends to pursue, reimbursement of recruiting expenses for licensed physicians may constitute a reportable transfer of value under the federal transparency law commonly known as the Sunshine Act. Therefore, if you are a licensed physician who incurs recruiting expenses as a result of interviewing with Amphastar that we pay or reimburse, your name, address, and the number of payments made currently will be reported to the government.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor communication?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Computer since, or 5 years of experience in IT technical support or system administration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting SAP administration, SAP security, or SAP support operations
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA system landscapes
- Experience suppo1ting SAP SuccessFactors LMS or similar Learning Management Systems
- Understanding of SAP user provisioning, access controls, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) concepts
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors, * Knowledge of APls, RFCs, Docs, and OData services
- Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with audit, compliance, and internal control processes
- Knowledge of SAP security roles and authorization concepts
- Basic scripting (Shell, PowerShell, or Python)
- Hands-on experience working in SAP RISE (RISE with SAP) environments
- SAP or SuccessFactors certifications are a plus, * Bachelor's (Preferred)

- SAP ERP, SAP S, S/HANA: 3 years (Preferred)
