Job description
We're looking for a motivated Applications Engineer to join our Chino office. This is a hybrid technical and customer-facing role that combines applications engineering with customer engagement and sales support. You'll be the technical bridge between U.S. customers, our internal sales and engineering teams, and our overseas factory partners., Engineering & Technical Support
- Provide technical applications support for electronic components and systems
- Assist customers with product selection, specifications, and basic troubleshooting
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers and overseas factory engineers
- Coordinate sample evaluations, engineering feedback, and design support with overseas teams
- Communicate application requirements, technical issues, and solutions clearly between customers and factories
- Support board-level assembly and system-level integration as needed
- Maintain clear technical documentation and application notes
Customer Engagement & Sales Support
- Conduct on-site customer visits (with or without sales representatives) to understand applications and recommend solutions (all business travel fully covered, including mileage and gas reimbursement)
- Support customers via virtual meetings (Teams, Zoom) and email correspondence
- Represent American Bright LED at trade shows and industry events
- Work collaboratively with our sales and engineering teams to win and grow accounts
Requirements
Do you have experience in Video conferences (communication methods)?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers and recent graduates who want hands-on industry experience that combines deep technical work with real customer interaction, travel, and exposure to global manufacturing., * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or Chemistry
- Solid technical foundation with strong problem-solving skills
- Bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) preferred, for effective coordination with overseas factories
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically (and occasionally to Canada) multiple times per year
- Strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Comfortable with customer-facing communication - both in-person and virtual
- Familiarity with the following is preferred:
- LED products and applications
- LCD modules
- Power supplies
- Board-level assembly and basic electronics testing
Experience
- 2+ years of related experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
