Provides routine and non-routine IT services to end users in order to support the mission of the institution through technology. Deploys enterprise managed tools that manage devices, deploys software and security updates of devices and applications across an enterprise, and updates documented processes., We are seeking a highly experienced, customer-focused Senior Network Field Technician to lead the installation, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wired, wireless, and security network infrastructure across multiple sites. This senior-level role serves as a technical escalation point for complex issues, provides leadership on advanced projects, and mentors junior technicians while ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing enterprise network environments., * Lead and perform the installation, configuration, integration, repair, upgrade, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure, including:
- Copper and fiber cabling
- Network switches, routers, and firewalls
- Wireless access points and controllers
- UPS systems and environmental or security devices
- Serve as the point of escalation for complex or unresolved network issues involving cable, hardware, software, wireless, telephony, and related technologies.
- Perform advanced on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting of connectivity, hardware, power, and configuration issues.
- Provide direct onsite and remote technical support to customers and internal stakeholders, maintaining high quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and participate in scheduled upgrades, emergency response, and preventative maintenance activities, including participation in a 24x7 on-call or shift-based rotation.
- Coordinate closely with customers, operations, and engineering teams to validate alarms, plan maintenance windows, restore services, and implement scalable network and security solutions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, including network diagrams, cabling records, service tickets, time logs, and configuration details using ticketing and SNOW.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, operational, and organizational standards (e.g., OSHA) when working with power, ladders, lifts, confined spaces, or mounted equipment.
- Act as a technical lead on complex projects, assisting with task coordination, work prioritization, and execution.
- Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to Field Technicians; contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved., * Relevant professional certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or equivalent vendor certifications).
- Proficiency with ticket management.
- Senior-level technical judgment with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused communicator able to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Self-motivated leader capable of working independently or guiding others as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving network and security technologies.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience installing, integrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network systems.
- Proven expertise serving as a point of escalation for complex networking issues.
- Proficiency with Arista network devices and basic-to-advanced CLI configuration.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to unpack, set up, lift, and move network equipment (typically up to 55 lbs or more as required).
- Provides basic personal tools; advanced test equipment is supplied as needed.
- Ability to read construction drawings, create or redline low-voltage plans, and coordinate with facilities and vendors.
- Strong working knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and Wi-Fi architectures.
- Experience with Arista, Juniper, Ubiquiti, Cisco or similar enterprise networking platforms.
- Experience supporting security infrastructure such as firewalls, VPNs, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business productivity tools.
- Experience with wireless technologies, telephony, cloud-based management tools, and network test equipment.
- Experience with fiber and copper cabling, including termination and testing (Fluke/OTDR).
- Leverage AI in routine tasks and contribute ideas for using AI to improve the unit's efficiency and overall performance.

Working Environment:
- Combination of office and field-based work, including extended computer use and onsite physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and working with cable or mounted equipment.
- Work hours may include rotating shifts, nights, weekends, or on-call coverage in a 24x7 operational environment.
- Occupy office locations in remote locations when need arises. Office locations can be Downtown Phoenix, Mayo, Tempe, Polytechnic, West Valley.
- Requires the ability to manage shifting priorities, work under pressure, and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Frequent lifting and moving of network equipment (typically up to 55 lbs or more as required).
