Job description
Seaman Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Quality team! This position will report to the Quality Supervisor in Wooster, OH., The Quality Assurance Technician will conduct product certification testing in support of quality and operational requirements. The Quality Assurance Technician will prepare, submit, review, and file required quality documentation. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented individual capable of performing physical properties testing, generating and interpreting data. They will work effectively in a team environment and be skilled at multitasking and problem-solving to deliver results in an efficient manner. They will also assist the Operations Lab Technician in supporting internal and external customer testing needs., * Conduct routine product testing of all production runs from Wooster Plant in a safe and detail-oriented manner. Organize and maintain databases of results. Monitor long-term trends and make management aware of any variances.
- Conduct routine calibration and maintenance of lab test equipment. Assist in the setup of new test equipment, as assigned.
- Comply with written testing methodologies and deliver consistent and reliable test results.
- Provide technical assistance to Wooster QC Technicians as needed. Provide training and evaluation to associates required to work in the QC lab.
- Provide lab support to manufacturing engineers in support of product/process improvement projects. Assist in new product development testing, where assigned, and product modification verification testing.
- Backup QC and Technology Lab Technicians during vacations or unusual workload, as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Manufacturing company experience?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED
- 2 years or more experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
- Able to learn and function using modern business tools such as: Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, Oracle, Salesforce
- Successfully worked in a team environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years or more experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
- Knowledge of Seaman Products and the applicable test methods preferred
- Product application experience a plus
- Previous laboratory experience a plus
