Job description
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist II, to work under the guidance of experienced IT professionals to provide support and assistance for the organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting the organization's computer systems, and other related hardware and software components.
- Provide Tier I end-user technical support and assistance to end-users
- Ensure timely resolution of help desk tickets
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Administer Active Directory (AD) including user lifecycle management, group policy updates, OU structure maintenance, and permissions troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot and support network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP), escalating only complex architectural issues
- Assist in Group Policy (GPO) deployment and troubleshooting for endpoint security, software deployment, and configuration enforcement
- Assist with network device configuration and monitoring (switches, firewalls, wireless access points) under senior guidance
- Support endpoint security tools (antivirus, EDR, patching systems) and remediate vulnerabilities
- Monitor servers and network equipment
- Monitor backup and disaster recovery systems
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Ensure IT security and compliance with policies and procedures
- Manage all facility badge access
- Document and maintain IT infrastructure inventory and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to provide effective IT support and services
Requirements
Do you have experience in IT department experience?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work on different IT projects and assignments.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Required Experience & Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2-4 years of progressive IT support experience
