Job description

The Systems Administrator position at Zoot is responsible for installing and configuring hardware and software, managing user access and security, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, performing data backups and recovery, ensuring system security, implementing system updates, and providing technical support to users. The Systems Administrator position is fast-paced and ever changing and requires one to regularly manage changing priorities. We offer tailored data driven decisioning technology solutions that empower our clients to streamline processes, increase flexibility and efficiency, accelerate growth, while accessing hundreds of cutting-edge data sources to help reduce risk., * System installation and configuration: Set up and maintain servers, storage, and Linux based operating systems, any necessary software.

  • User account management: Create, manage, and assign user access levels to ensure data security.
  • Work with other personnel/departments to analyze hardware requirements and alternatives and make acquisition recommendations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Maintain and administer deployment standards for OS builds, updates, and patch management. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software related problems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance and backups as necessary on servers.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of computer systems.
  • Provide technical support, training and documentation to the Information Technology team and auxiliary departments.
  • Respond to requests to assist in critical problem resolution, including after-hours support needs.
  • Utilize ticketing system to track defects and requested enhancements.
  • Use Change Management/Release Management processes to develop and deploy code and/or functionality to the production environment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement hardware and software replacements or upgrades.
  • Know and comply with Zoot's Policies and Procedures, Code of Business Conduct, and Employee Agreement.
  • Achieving a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering on-time, high-quality products and services to internal and external customers., This position will take place primarily in an office setting. To optimize team performance, the workspace for this position is typically a cubicle setting in an open space environment. It is expected that exempt employees, and specifically this position, regularly and consistently report to work on-site, at Zoot headquarters, during normal business hours. Occasional nighttime and weekend work is required within the position. This position may occasionally require travel. The System Administrator position is fast paced and ever changing, requiring flexibility, self-initiative, and regular management of changing priorities. Requirements

Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High School Diploma

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of professional experience in a technology field. Or an equal combination of education and experience., All positions at Zoot require the ability to move about inside an office environment which includes the operation of computers and other office productivity machinery and frequently communicates with other employees, clients, vendors, and visitors. This position specifically requires long periods of sitting at a computer workstation.
