Job description
In order to further strengthen our Telecommunication Solutions business unit, we are looking for a Senior C++ Development Engineer.
Your tasks
Support the setup, execution, and documentation of hardware and driver tests for Utimaco products.
Test hardware-related software components and drivers across multiple operating systems, such as Linux, Windows, and other relevant environments.
Assist in validating the interaction between hardware, firmware, drivers, and operating systems.
Support debugging and root-cause analysis of hardware, driver, and system-level issues.
Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and similar measurement devices to support testing and investigation activities.
Assist with PCB-level analysis, basic circuit-level tasks, and review of hardware behavior during testing.
Carry out soldering, rework, and preparation of electronic assemblies as required.
Support hardware development, prototyping, and validation activities.
Assist in creating and maintaining test setups, test documentation, lab measurements, and validation reports.
Work closely with QA Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Software Developers, and other technical teams to identify issues and improve product quality.
Contribute to making hardware and driver testing more structured, repeatable, and visible within the engineering process.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, You are currently studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
You have a basic understanding of hardware development, electronics, PCB design, or circuit-level concepts.
You are interested in hardware testing, driver testing, embedded systems, operating systems, and technical problem solving.
You have basic hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, or similar devices.
You are comfortable performing soldering or are willing to further develop your soldering and electronics rework skills.
Basic knowledge of PCB designs, electronic components, and hardware debugging is desirable.
Familiarity with Linux, Windows, device drivers, firmware, scripting, or test automation is a plus.
Basic programming or scripting knowledge is desirable, for example Python, Bash, C, C++, or similar.
Experience with 3D printing, prototyping, or mechanical enclosures is a plus.
You are structured, careful, curious, analytical, and willing to learn.
You enjoy working hands-on with hardware, test setups, measurements, and technical systems.
You are comfortable communicating in English in an international team.
