Job description
The Part-Time IT Technician supports day-to-day technology operations across the venue, providing hands-on helpdesk support, troubleshooting, and on-site technical assistance. This role ensures consistent uptime for POS systems, attractions technology, networking equipment, and end-user devices. Weekend coverage is essential to support peak operating hours.
Helpdesk & Technical Support:
- Provide first-line support for staff technology issues
- Troubleshoot hardware/software for computers, tablets, printers, and peripherals
- Communicate clearly and professionally with end users
POS & Attractions Technology:
- Support and troubleshoot CenterEdge and Toast POS systems
- Maintain receipt printers, card readers, scanners, kiosks, and attraction-adjacent devices
- Coordinate escalations with corporate IT and vendors
Network & Connectivity:
- Diagnose basic network and internet connectivity issues
- Support routers, switches, access points, and wired/wireless infrastructure
- Escalate complex networking issues to corporate IT
User Accounts & Equipment:
- Set up, maintain, and decommission user accounts and passwords
- Image, deploy, and retire end-user devices
- Maintain accurate equipment and license inventory
Weekend & Emergency Support:
- Serve as primary weekend technical coverage
- Respond to urgent outages and escalate when needed
Documentation & Reporting:
- Log and update support tickets
- Document issues, resolutions, and recurring trends
- Provide reporting to the General Manager and IT leadership
Requirements
Do you have experience in Customer communication?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * At least 18 years of age
- Basic knowledge of computers, networks, and common tech devices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Professional communication and ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation, punctuality, and weekend availability
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Familiarity with Windows PCs and basic networking (routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
- Experience with CenterEdge or Toast POS
- Customer service or helpdesk background
- Basic cybersecurity awareness
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment, * High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience preferred
- Ability to stand/walk for entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Occasional bending, kneeling, and crawling to access equipment
