System/Network Administrator for MSP

Job description
The ideal candidate will have prior MSP experience and be capable of independently resolving the majority of client support requests across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
ResponsibilitiesEnd User Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues
- Support Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office applications
- Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint issues
- Assist users with remote access, VPN, and MFA-related issues
- Provide remote and onsite technical support as needed
- Escalate complex issues when appropriate
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage Microsoft 365 users, groups, and licensing
- Administer Exchange Online mailboxes and permissions
- Configure and troubleshoot Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Support Conditional Access and Multifactor Authentication
- Manage shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and security groups
- Assist with Intune device management and policy deployment
Server Administration
- Support Windows Server environments
- Administer Active Directory users, computers, and group policies
- Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and file share issues
- Manage server maintenance and updates
- Support Hyper-V virtual environments
- Monitor server performance and health
Network Administration
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues
- Configure and support firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
- Support Ubiquiti, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet, and Cisco environments
- Configure VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to resolve connectivity issues
- Maintain network documentation
Cybersecurity
- Investigate and respond to security alerts
- Support EDR/MDR platforms and remediation efforts
- Assist with email security and DNS filtering solutions
- Review suspicious sign-in activity and account compromises
- Support cybersecurity best practices and compliance initiatives
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Monitor and troubleshoot backup systems
- Perform file, mailbox, and system restores
- Validate backup integrity and recovery procedures
- Support Microsoft 365 and server backup platforms
Project Work
- Deploy and configure workstations, servers, and network equipment
- Participate in Microsoft 365 migrations and upgrades
- Assist with infrastructure and cloud projects
- Support office relocations and technology deployments
- Document project work and technical procedures
Documentation & Client Communication
- Maintain accurate documentation within IT Glue and internal systems
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding issues and resolutions
- Participate in client meetings when required
- Provide recommendations and best practices to clients, * Microsoft 365 Administration
- Intune and Endpoint Management
- Ubiquiti, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet, or Cisco networking
- Datto, Veeam, or Microsoft 365 backup solutions
- EDR/MDR and security platform administration
- IT Glue, Autotask, or other MSP platforms

- Independently resolves the majority of client support requests
- Maintains excellent client satisfaction and communication
- Takes ownership of issues from start to finish
- Contributes to process improvement and documentation
- Works collaboratively with Tier 1 and Tier 3 engineers
- Represents Advanced Networks professionally both remotely and onsite
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * 3+ years of IT support experience
- MSP experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Active Directory
- Networking experience with firewalls, switches, wireless, and VPNs
- Experience with backup and cybersecurity platforms
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
