What you'll do...: The Technical Director, Frontend & AI Engineering is a highly technical, hands-on leader responsible for advancing modern frontend architectures and AI-driven user experiences. This role leads the development of high-quality, scalable client experiences while embedding AI capabilities into products and engineering workflows. This leader sets the standard for frontend excellence and AI integration, combining deep expertise in user-facing technologies with practical application of AI/ML to deliver differentiated customer value., * Lead the application of AI/ML (including generative AI) across user experiences and developer tooling.
- Partner with Data/ML teams to productionize models and integrate intelligent capabilities.
- Guide prompt engineering, model selection, and evaluation strategies., * Drive experimentation with AI-powered features, personalization, and automation.
- Establish frameworks for rapid prototyping and iterative delivery (aligned with your current experiment-first motion).
- Balance innovation with production-grade reliability and scalability.
Standards & Best Practices
- Establish best practices for frontend engineering, UI performance, accessibility, and testing.
- Define patterns for integrating AI responsibly, securely, and at scale.
- Promote consistency across frameworks, component libraries, and design systems., * Develop frontend and AI engineering talent through coaching, pairing, and structured learning.
- Raise engineering maturity across teams through standards, reviews, and thought leadership.
- Influence hiring strategy for high-impact technical talent.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Platform teams.
- Align frontend and AI capabilities to business priorities and customer outcomes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software engineering?, * 10+ years in software engineering, with deep experience in frontend development.
- Experience building and scaling modern web applications (React, Angular, etc.).
- Proven experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into production systems.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in modern frontend frameworks, performance optimization, and UX patterns.
- Strong understanding of APIs, backend integration, and full-stack systems.
- Experience with AI tooling, LLMs, and model integration (prompting, APIs, inference pipelines).
Leadership
- Strong technical leadership with the ability to influence across teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices.

Pay Range: $154,900.00 - $263,300.00/Yr.
