Job description
We are seeking an Applications Team Lead to join our team supporting an ITES task order., * Lead multiple application modernization projects using Agile development best practices and DevSecOps principles.
- Gather requirements and work with stakeholders to estimate the level of effort (LOE) for development tasks.
- Draft user stories and technical documentation in collaboration with development teams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Review QA results and final acceptance of deliverables to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage team resources across various application efforts and provide staffing recommendations for new or expanding initiatives.
- Track and report project budgets, monitor burn rates, and take corrective action to stay within financial constraints.
- Maintain a master project schedule and proactively reprioritize efforts to avoid resource or schedule conflicts.
- Communicate project status, risks, and updates directly to customers and stakeholders.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in development processes and team efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Three (3) or more years of experience applying DevSecOps development strategies.
- Three (3) or more years of experience with Agile methodologies and related tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Three (3) or more years of experience with Quality Assurance (QA) application testing processes.
- Three (3) or more years of experience managing budgets and resources across multiple concurrent application projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable., * Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline, or equivalent years of experience managing application development projects., The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
