Job description

We are hiring a Part-Time IT Support Specialist / Help Desk Technician, working 4-5 weekday mornings,* to provide remote and occasional on-site technical support*. Most work is performed from our North Raleigh office, with some travel to local client sites., * Provide help desk and IT support via remote tools and on-site visits

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
  • Support Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Assist with cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, and compliance tasks
  • Deliver excellent customer service and end-user support

A Day in the Life at Tech Wizards

Every day is a little different in an MSP environment-but here's what you can expect:

  • Start your day by reviewing and prioritizing support tickets submitted overnight
  • Provide remote help desk support to users experiencing issues with email, login access, printers, or connectivity
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and assist with password resets or account setup
  • Work on PC setups, software installs, or endpoint security alerts
  • Collaborate with your team on more complex issues or escalations
  • Occasionally travel to a local client site to resolve issues that require hands-on support
  • Document your work clearly in the ticketing system so clients and team members stay informed

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support (preferred, not required)

  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and Microsoft 365
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
  • Reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits

Preferred Skills (Plus but Not Required)

  • Experience working in an MSP environment
  • Familiarity with RMM tools and PSA systems
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, backup, and endpoint protection

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour, * Flexible schedule
