Job description
Apply software quality assurance principles throughout the development lifecycle. Develop procedures to identify issues in company-specific software (Vehicle Systems) and prepare requirements, specifications, and test suites. This position reports to the Software Quality Assurance Manager, with a dotted line to an onsite manager.
- Manual Software Testing -Analyze requirements, estimate test effort, design test cases, prepare test data/environments, and execute tests. Report and manage defects, troubleshoot issues, and perform functional, non-functional, database, and regression testing. Provide documented results, collaborate with development teams, and support continuous QA improvements.
- System Test Planning - Work with systems and engineering teams to refine requirements and define system-level test strategies to validate and qualify products.
- Test Automation -Advance and implement automation tools to improve product validation and verification.
- Documentation and Training -Write and update test procedures, standards, and documentation. Create test cases from requirements and use cases. Support documentation of new product features and collaborate on guides and manuals.
- Project Leadership - Develop project plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Miscellaneous - Stay current on QA technologies, assist with troubleshooting and software setup, train personnel on Vehicle Systems products, and collaborate with business teams to clarify requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related (or Associate degree + 6 years related experience )
- Good written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays (0-5%)
- Reliable transportation for local travel between company sites, * 2+ years of software testing or QA work experience strongly preferred
- Ability to debug applications
- Experience with mobile, performance, agile, embedded, and automated testing
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, Zephyr Scale, and HP ALM
