Job description
- Design and develop vehicle and product systems.
- Model and characterize system physics.
- Develop and package CAD system and component concepts.
- Apply linear-static Finite Element Analysis for design optimization.
- Generate technical drawings.
- Prepare and present project status reports.
- Develop and report on test design (DVP&R).
- Support and resolve customer issues using mechanical, analytical, CAE, and project management skills.
- Prepare technical specifications and develop testing methods and procedures.
- Investigate alternative business opportunities and support manufacturing by responding to ECRs.
- Present results to and take direction from external customers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in FEA analysis and mechanical engineering.
- Experience in new product development and GD&T.
- Skill in mechanical engineering design, particularly in motorsports.
- Testing validation and project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in parametric 3D modeling and tolerancing.
- Motorsport industry experience (NASCAR preferred).
- Team player with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and pride in work products.
- Interest in technology and a willingness to learn new things.

This is a Contract position based out of Huntersville, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $47.00/hr.
