Epsilon is looking for a Lead Engineer to help drive the design, delivery, technical strategy, and execution of core capabilities for Epsilon Clean Room, our privacy-first data collaboration platform. In this role, you will lead through technical expertise, partner closely with product, architecture, and engineering stakeholders, and build scalable solutions that enable secure, data-rich collaboration for enterprise clients., * Deliver large-scale cloud-native data platforms primarily on AWS using REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications to build highly scalable and resilient systems.
- Work hands-on across the technology stack, including Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Express.js, AWS services, event-driven architecture, and SQL/NoSQL databases, to solve complex engineering challenges and maintain platform excellence.
- Partner closely with global engineering, product management, architecture, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic business objectives.
- Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, deployment, observability, and documentation.
- Lead product-wide technical initiatives focused on performance optimization, scalability, reliability, security, governance, and cost efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale production applications.
- Architecture: Proven expertise in distributed systems, microservices design, and building robust REST APIs.
- Tech-Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency across the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem, including modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js) and server-side runtimes/frameworks like Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
- Data: Comprehensive experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS), alongside broad proficiency across relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis).
- Infrastructure: Deep experience building cloud-native applications on a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), utilizing core services for object storage, serverless compute, API management, and event routing.
- DevOps: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible, CI/CD pipeline automation, and comprehensive testing strategies.
- AI: Practical experience leveraging agent-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to optimize software delivery velocity without compromising on code quality., * Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise-grade, highly scalable distributed systems.
- Data: Hands-on experience with modern, big data platforms and processing frameworks such as Databricks, Snowflake, or PySpark.
- AI: Practical exposure to Generative AI architectures, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and autonomous agentic systems.
