Job description

Support the development, testing, maintenance, and optimization of operational flight software and engineering models for B-1B and B-52 platforms. Collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements, support system integration efforts, and ensure software reliability throughout the development lifecycle., * Design software systems and subsystem engineering models utilizing JIRA throughout the end-to-end lifecycle

  • Develop, test, maintain, enhance, and optimize software systems and subsystem components

  • Review customer requirements and technical specifications for stakeholder use

  • Analyze technical requirements and translate them into software solutions

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy operational flight software

  • Monitor and test system performance and functionality

  • Support system integration activities across software and subsystem components

  • Debug software issues and resolve identified defects

  • Verify software reliability, efficiency, and compliance with customer, industry, and safety standards

  • Serve as a technical resource for software systems and subsystem engineering activities

  • Physical Requirements & Environment

  • Work onsite at Tinker AFB

  • Support up to 10% overtime as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited course of study

  • 9+ years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • Ability to code in C and/or ADA

  • Hands-on experience JIRA

  • Possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrate embedded software design experience
