Job description

  • A desktop support technician maintains an organization's computer hardware and software systems.
  • They act as the front line of IT, providing in-person or remote troubleshooting to resolve technical issues, set up new employee devices, and ensure users stay connected to the network., * Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving hardware (laptops, desktops, printers) and software (operating systems, applications) issues.
  • Setup and Deployment: Reimaging machines, installing new programs, and physically or virtually setting up workstations for new hires.
  • User Support: Assisting colleagues with password resets, access permissions, Wi-Fi connectivity, and general technical questions.
  • Asset Management: Keeping track of company IT inventory, equipment upgrades, and repairs
