Job description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager to lead and support our organization's information technology initiatives. This is a hands-on role within a single-person IT department, requiring strong technical expertise across a broad range of technologies and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business objectives and deliver exceptional IT support and services throughout the organization., * Oversee daily IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, servers, cloud environments, and end-user support.
- Manage the organization's mobile device environment, including device deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, repairs, replacements, restorations, and ongoing lifecycle management.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution.
- Plan, manage, and execute IT projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery, effective communication, and alignment with business goals.
- Maintain and support network infrastructure, cloud services, data storage systems, backup solutions, and internal technology assets.
- Administer and optimize virtualization environments using VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Oversee cybersecurity tools and practices, including security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat remediation.
- Implement and maintain security solutions such as antivirus platforms, email filtering, multi-factor authentication, password management, and secure remote access.
- Monitor and maintain network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and related technologies.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement emerging technologies and security solutions that improve operational efficiency and organizational security.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and managed service providers (MSPs) as needed.
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, policies, procedures, and system standards., This role offers the opportunity to influence the technological direction of a forward-thinking organization while working in an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth. Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows support?, Required
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration.
- Extensive experience administering and migrating Microsoft 365 environments.
- Proficiency with network infrastructure, including VPNs, routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server environments.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including network security, information security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Experience configuring and supporting DHCP, DNS, VPN, firewall, and remote access technologies.
- Knowledge of security best practices, including endpoint protection, email security, multi-factor authentication, and secure remote connectivity.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred
- Experience managing third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers.
- Experience negotiating technology contracts and service agreements.
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Security+, CISSP, or related credentials.
