Job description
We are in search of a skilled technical professional to fill the role of Product Applications Engineer and provide expert support for product applications and design solutions. This position requires translating customer needs into practical, manufacturable designs, and collaborating with engineering and sales teams to meet project requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Review customer design specifications and align product capabilities with project needs.
- Create detailed drawings, layouts, and proposals using SolidWorks and AutoCAD/Draftsight.
- Develop designs suitable for manufacturing methods and facilities based on equipment and performance specifications.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and resolve design-related challenges.
- Participate in design review meetings for custom-engineered solutions.
- Offer engineering support to production and assist with inspections and commissioning activities.
- Interpret industry standards and regulatory codes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and build expertise in assigned product lines.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standards?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, Keys to Job: Bachelors or Associate degree in Mechanical/Electrical Design or Engineering Technology + 3-5 years experience; advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong understanding of mobile electrification systems; ability to create detailed technical drawings and layouts; excellent communication for customer/sales collaboration; knowledge of regulatory codes (UL, NEC, NFPA); problem-solving for custom designs and ECOs., * Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, or Engineering Technology, with 3-5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Understanding of mobile electrification systems.
- Strong communication skills for technical documentation and discussions.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position involves primarily office-based work with occasional physical activities. Employees may need to lift up to 25 pounds and have close vision abilities. The work environment is usually quiet but may require visits to production areas. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
