Senior Furniture Specifier

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Furniture Specifier to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the planning, specification, and documentation of commercial furniture solutions for client projects. This role serves as a technical expert, translating client requirements, design intent, and project objectives into accurate furniture specifications and detailed installation documentation. The Senior Furniture Specifier works closely with clients, sales representatives, project managers, designers, manufacturers, and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and within budget., * Meet with clients and internal project teams to gather project requirements and understand workplace objectives.

• Conduct programming meetings to identify furniture, functional, aesthetic, and budget requirements.
• Provide product recommendations and technical solutions that align with client goals.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings, design reviews, and client presentations.

Furniture Specification Requirements

• Develop complete furniture specifications for commercial interior projects.
• Specify modular systems furniture, private office furniture, seating, storage solutions, and ancillary furnishings.
• Select appropriate furniture finishes, fabrics, laminates, veneers, paints, and other material options consistent with project design standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD to prepare and maintain furniture plans, installation drawings, and technical documentation.
• Utilize CET Designer to create furniture layouts, specifications, renderings, and installation packages.
• Produce detailed specification worksheets and pricing documentation.
• Maintain drawing revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify field dimensions and coordinate furniture layouts with architectural plans.
• Conduct thorough specification reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Validate product applications, dimensions, finishes, and accessories before order placement.
• Resolve specification-related issues and discrepancies.
• Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer product lines, pricing structures, and specification standards.
• Assist in developing and implementing departmental specification standards and best practices.

Do you have experience in Technical documentation?, The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of modular systems furniture, ancillary furnishings, furniture finishes, and manufacturer product applications. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD and CET Designer software for furniture specification, space planning, and technical documentation., * Proven experience in furniture design or product specification roles.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and CET Designer specification software.
• Strong understanding of furniture manufacturers and product applications.
• Experience preparing detailed furniture specifications, bills of materials, and installation documentation.
