Job description
Northern Technology Services is looking for a reliable, customer-focused person to join our team as a Technical Support Agent.
This role is a mix of:
- Helping clients with everyday technology issues
- Setting up computers and equipment
- Visiting client locations throughout Northern Michigan
- Assisting with IT projects and deployments
- Learning real-world IT skills from an experienced team
You do not need years of IT experience.
We can teach technology.
We can't teach reliability, professionalism, and a great attitude.
What You'll Be DoingHelp People
You'll be one of the first people our clients interact with when they need assistance.
Examples include:
- Password resets
- Computer troubleshooting
- Printer issues
- Email and Microsoft 365 questions
- New employee setup
- Device replacements
Work Onsite
Not everything can be fixed remotely.
You'll visit client locations to:
- Set up computers
- Install monitors and docks
- Replace equipment
- Help with office moves
- Assist with technology projects
- Serve as the local face of our company
Learn IT
You'll work alongside experienced technicians and gain exposure to:
- Microsoft 365
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud systems
- Business networks
- Managed IT services
- Client support operations
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Customer service?, Do you have a Trade school?, * Friendly and professional
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable talking with people
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Curious and willing to learn
- Able to work independently when needed
Experience
Any of the following is helpful:
- Customer service
- Retail
- Hospitality
- Healthcare
- Technical support
- Trade school or IT coursework
- Personal experience building or troubleshooting computers
No MSP experience required.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout Northern Michigan
- Ability to lift computer equipment when needed
- Strong communication skills
