Job description
As a network engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, routing and switching, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, and virtual routing and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to support the nation's defense and resp ond to evolving adversaries. You'll upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in cryptographic equipment, cryptography, key management, sof tware and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, cloud migration, and virtual routing and forwarding, you'll serve as a
Requirements
Do you have experience in Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) configuration?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, t rus ted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions., * 5+ years of experience in the design, implementation, and operation of a geographically dispersed network, including LAN or WAN coaction and circuits
- 3+ years of experience managing and operating Cisco VoIP, and securing and hardening network technologies
- Knowledge of DoD network deployments, STIGs, and IA compliance standards
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams
- Top Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Cisco Certified Network Professional ( CCNP ) Certification
- CompTIA Security+ or ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner ( SSCP ) Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with network accreditation and security compliance processes
- Knowledge of cloud networking such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Ability to assist in all aspects of network management, from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing system
- Bachelor's degree in a CS, IT, or Engineering field
- ISC2 Systems Certified Information Systems Security Professional ( CISSP ) Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
