Job description
The Network Engineer assists in the deployment, maintenance, support, and monitoring of RACI Networks. Working under the guidance of the IT Director, this role ensures the continuous availability, performance, and security of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), wireless systems, and related hardware across RACI Network., * Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor network performance, connectivity, and health utilizing management tools; perform routine maintenance and escalate anomalies as needed
- Hardware Deployment: Assist in the staging, configuration, installation, and testing of network hardware including switches, routers, wireless access points, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
- Incident Resolution: Respond to network support tickets documenting all actions accurately
- Documentation: Maintain clear and updated network documentation, topology maps, asset inventories, and standard operating procedures.
- Compliance & Security: Adhere to established network security baselines and healthcare compliance regulations (such as HIPAA).
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN management?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
An equivalent combination of education, technical training, and hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Experience: Min 2 -5 years of experience supporting network infrastructure or working in a structured IT environment for network operation. TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing/switching, VPN configurations a must
- Networking Foundations: Foundational understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP protocol suite, VLANs, subnetting, and basic routing concepts.
- Hardware Familiarity: Basic hands-on familiarity with mid-level network vendors (e.g., Ubiquiti switches, firewalls and wireless components, Sonic Walls, Meraki Devices).
- Tools: Familiarity with network diagnostic tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, Wireshark) and basic network monitoring platforms.
- Voice: NextivaOne experience preferred.

- ISC² Certified

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to travel to various locations throughout Ohio
- Ability to lift, transport, and rack network hardware weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Participation in a scheduled on-call rotation to support RACI Doctors and Patients
