Job description
Owens Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry / Quality Documentation Coordinator to support our aerospace and defense manufacturing quality department. This role is responsible for generating in-process and final inspection reports, organizing quality documentation, and accurately entering dimensional inspection data into Excel-based reporting systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work within a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment. Experience with blueprint reading and familiarity with AS9100 documentation processes is a strong plus.
Quality Documentation & Reporting
- Generate in-process and final inspection reports within Owens Industries' AS9100 quality system.
- Prepare and maintain customer inspection documentation packages and quality records.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and organized according to company and customer requirements.
- Assist the quality department with document control and record retention activities.
Data Entry & Inspection Support
- Manually enter dimensional inspection data from CMM reports and inspection equipment into Excel spreadsheets and internal quality documents.
- Review inspection data for accuracy and completeness before release.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical inspection records.
- Support quality personnel with administrative and reporting tasks as needed.
Excel & Administrative Responsibilities
- Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for inspection reporting, formatting, tracking, and data organization.
- Create and edit Word documents, inspection templates, and supporting quality forms.
- Assist in maintaining standardized reporting formats and document consistency.
- Support KPI and quality metric tracking through accurate data entry and reporting.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with inspectors, machinists, programmers, and quality personnel to gather inspection information.
- Communicate missing or unclear inspection data to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling customer and internal documentation.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Word embeddings?, * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately enter and manage large amounts of inspection-related data.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality environment.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO quality systems.
- Basic blueprint reading and dimensional understanding.
- Experience working with inspection reports or CMM-generated data.
- Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience is a plus.
