Job description
The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking an experienced individual for a Identification Data Analyst vacancy in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Section, London Ohio office. This position will report to the London location daily. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation, known as BCI, is the state's official crime lab serving the criminal justice community and protecting Ohio families. BCI also provides expert criminal investigative services to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies upon request. With offices throughout the state, BCI stands ready to respond 24/7 to local law enforcement agencies' needs at no cost to the requesting agency.
Staff at BCI work every day to provide the highest level of service. This includes special agents who are on call 24/7 to offer investigative assistance at crime scenes, knowledgeable scientists and forensic specialists using cutting-edge technology to process evidence to bring criminals to justice, and criminal intelligence analysts and identification specialists who help local law enforcement solve cases. Experienced special agents, forensic scientists, and other law enforcement experts' staff BCI's three main divisions: 1) Identifications 2) Investigations and 3) Laboratory.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conducts data analysis of submission errors by law enforcement and courts
o Identifies errors with submissions and directs Identification employees to those agencies to correct them o Monitors submission data to identify any agency without submissions and directs Identification employees to the agency to correct them o Identifies agencies that require additional training on submission and directs Identification employees to those agencies for training
- Attend Compact Council, APB, SEARCH, and any other professional meeting and/or conferences with the Identification Supervisor.
- Responsible for training and development for Identification Unit(s).
o Prepares training materials. o Trains new employees on all job processes. o Maintains documents regarding completion of training. o Maintains section training manual. o Audits unit work through peer reviews. o Acts as a mentor to new unit team members.
- Training coordination for outside agencies
o Schedule online trainings available to LEA's and Courts o Present training at LEA and Court professional meetings o Schedule monthly WebCheck training for agencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned., In addition, an Internet search may be conducted of publicly available and job related information through social media(Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) or through the use of search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) ADA Statement

Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Training material drafting?, Completion of undergraduate core program in accounting or finance, criminal justice, public administration, or closely related field and 3 years' experience within Identification; or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Travel is required; may be subject to inclement weather; must carry cell phone during work hours; will operate a computer for long periods of time.
