Job description
We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our Enterprise Infrastructure Security (EIS) team!
What you'll do:

Design, implement, and operate security controls that protect our corporate devices, applications, and infrastructure, including execution control, device trust, and network segmentation.

Build and understand threat models which pose an imminent threat to our platform and business.

Design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting systems to detect malicious activity on Snap Inc.'s endpoints, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP).

Conduct security reviews for new features and technologies, including the secure enablement of AI tools and features.

Partner with IT and other engineering teams to architect and manage identity and access management (IAM) and SSO integrations.
Requirements

Knowledge of operating system internals, with core competency in two or more of the following: macOS, Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.

Proven experience in one or more security areas: digital forensics, malware analysis, incident management, host/network intrusion detection, or endpoint security.

Strong development skills in Python and/or Go.

Ability to conduct design reviews and provide actionable mitigation guidance to reduce risk.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail and a record of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications:
-
1 year of experience in corporate or enterprise security

Background evaluating and securely enabling emerging technologies, including AI tools and features, with a focus on upholding access control boundaries and data protection requirements

Familiarity with securing lab, IoT, and ancillary systems, including applying hardening standards, monitoring, and access controls across heterogeneous environments

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail

Work record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company
Benefits & conditions
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this position is $118,000-$176,000 annually.
Zone B (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :
The base salary range for this position is $112,000-$167,000 annually.
Zone C (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
