Basic understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows

Basic knowledge of inter-related solutions and IT systems knowledge with the aligned application domain. Develops and maintains knowledge of related IT systems as well as supporting business and IT domains.

Willingness to learn and adapt to the healthcare environment. Configuring Devices: Routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.

Troubleshooting Tools: Ping, traceroute, Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP monitoring.

Cabling & Hardware: Fiber, copper, transceivers, patch panels, rack/stack.

Must be able to carry 10-15 pounds of equipment and lift into a rack.Networking Fundamentals:

Understanding TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, VLANs, routing vs. switching, DNS, DHCP, NAT.

Protocols & Services: HTTP/S, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, VPNs, VoIP, multicast.

LAN/WAN Technologies: Ethernet, wireless standards (802.11), MPLS, SD-WAN.

Routing & Switching: Static and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP), STP, port channels, trunking.

Cisco, Aruba, VMWare
