Job description

Cortina Solutions, LLC is seeking a Data Engineer to support the development of analytical and automation solutions supporting Department of Justice clients. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and data wrangling, to data visualization and dashboarding, to predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness.

  • Maintain and enhance dashboards, analytics solutions, and reporting tools used in operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and functional teams, guide junior developers, and serve as a trusted advisor to government clients on data analytics, automation, modeling, and visualization initiatives.
  • Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Programming languages?, * B.S./B.A. in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, Business w/ quantitative concentration, or similar quantitative/computational discipline.

  • Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in data analysis, data science or business analytics.
  • Experience working on data analytics, modeling, or visualization projects in a consulting or federal environment.
  • Experience working with Python, R or other modern scripting languages used in analytics.
  • Experience working with at least one major BI/data visualization platform (Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • US Citizenship, * Three (3) or more years of experience performing Federal internal audit and/or audit consulting, preferably supporting external Federal audits.
  • Active Public Trust Clearance
  • Experience with key Federal financial management frameworks/guidance, such as OMB A-123, GAO Green Book, and FASAB standards.
  • Ability to identify and address client needs, build relationships, design and implement solutions.
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments (such as, Databricks, Palantir, AWS, Azure, or Google).
