Job description

  • Develop, implement, and manage security measures across network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and cloud environments such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in systems, applications, and network architecture.
  • Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools like Splunk or SolarWinds; analyze logs for threat detection and incident response.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and network protocols to ensure robust network security.
  • Lead incident response efforts by investigating security breaches, performing system forensics, and executing incident recovery plans aligned with ITIL standards.
  • Implement system hardening procedures on operating systems including Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS), macOS, and openSUSE to reduce attack surfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop security policies, system security plans, and compliance documentation in accordance with standards such as FIPS, PCI DSS, and RMF.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), IPsec VPNs, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP stack, Ethernet, VLANs, and load balancing techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches) and Cisco ISE for identity management; familiarity with Juniper devices is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles including threat detection & response, vulnerability management, system security hardening, encryption technologies (PKI), and access control models like RBAC and SSO.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation of security tasks; experience with DevOps tools like Ansible or Terraform is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks including ISO 27000 series standards (ISO <LOCATION>), FISMA/FedRAMP requirements, COBIT governance framework, and DIACAP processes.
  • Experience working with SIEM platforms like Splunk or SolarWinds for log analysis; familiarity with open-source tools like Fiddler or New Relic enhances threat monitoring capabilities.
  • Ability to perform vulnerability research and assessments using industry-standard attack frameworks; adept at incident management and disaster recovery planning within high availability environments.
