  • Install, upgrade, and migrate enterprise database software to maintain peak functionality and reliability
  • Analyze, design, and modify data warehouse structures aligned with business requirements
  • Execute and document database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Implement and monitor database security controls, user access, and compliance standards
  • Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and efficiency improvements for large-scale data environments
  • Design logical and physical data models, create relational schemas, and manage data dictionaries
  • Lead database integration efforts, coordinate with programmers and analysts on system enhancements
  • Support ETL processes and reporting tool implementations to ensure data accessibility and accuracy
  • Collaborate with users to address data access, reporting, and EIR Accessibility needs

Requirements

5+ years' hands-on experience with SQL Server, Teradata, and data warehouse management systems

  • Proven track record in large-scale data warehouse and data mart development, implementation, and maintenance

  • Expertise in data modeling, Star and Snowflake schemas, and highly normalized data structures

  • Proficiency with GUI-based ETL tools such as Informatica or IBM WebSphere DataStage

  • Strong skills in business analysis, management reporting, and performance benchmarking

  • Solid background in database access tools for application delivery and decision support

  • Experience with analytical/reporting tools: Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy

  • Exceptional analytical, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Familiarity with database security, compliance, disaster recovery, and EIR Accessibility standards Preferred Skills

  • Oracle Database administration experience

  • SSRS report creation proficiency

  • M204 database knowledge
