Job description
The IT Peripheral Prep Technician is primarily responsible for prepping peripheral equipment to be installed in dental offices and repairing non-functioning equipment. This may include installations, repairs, upgrades and maintenance to hardware and software. The position will report to IT Distribution Management., * Prep peripheral devices such as switches, printers, NAS boxes, iPads and SiriusXM radios by completing necessary software installation and setting changes.
- Receive returns and repairs from supported dental offices and reconcile with receiving ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and repair returned equipment to place back in to department inventory
- Partner within prep team and Dental Office service desk to complete prep work in a timely manner
- Manage multiple prep projects at one time and meet deadlines for repairs and shipment of equipment
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements
Do you have experience in Cross-functional communication?, * Completion of one of the following: three years of IT experience OR a degree in an IT related field

Practical knowledge of computer and network concepts

Ability to physically lift 70 lbs

Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to communicate frequently with different departments and stakeholders

Ability to interact with co-workers in a collegial manner to accomplish common tasks

High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an IT technical role
- Previous imaging or SCCM experience
