Job description
The QA Technician - WIP & Order Closure is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate closure of production orders within our ERP system by coordinating with Production, Planning, Receiving, Finance, and Quality teams. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational accuracy, resolving production discrepancies, ensuring material traceability, and supporting the flow of materials from Work in Process (WIP) through Finished Goods.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working cross-functionally, and ensuring operational details are accurately reflected in company systems., * Monitor and follow up on open production orders on a daily basis.
- Identify and help resolve issues preventing production orders from being closed in the ERP system.
- Track and resolve pending WIP transfers, material movements, transaction errors, and operational discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Receiving, Finance, and Quality teams to resolve operational roadblocks.
- Verify that production activities and material transactions are accurately reflected in the ERP system.
- Escalate issues that may impact production flow, inventory accuracy, or order closure timelines.
- Ensure all information required for production order closure is complete and available.
- Monitor material movement from WIP to Finished Goods.
- Support material traceability and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Investigate and follow up on discrepancies involving material consumption, inventory movements, and production transactions.
- Ensure required transactions are completed according to established procedures.
- Participate in basic root-cause investigations related to open orders, material movement, and operational discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to reduce open orders and operational delays., * Have you been responsible for monitoring, tracking, or supporting production orders, inventory transactions, or material movements?
Requirements
Do you have experience in Spreadsheets?, * Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to learn and utilize ERP systems such as Global Shop.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Basic understanding of material flow and traceability.
- Ability to interpret production orders and system transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with ERP systems or production software.
- Experience monitoring or supporting production orders.
- Exposure to inventory, materials management, quality, or operations processes.
