Job description

A tech services company is seeking a Test Lead in Houston, TX to oversee automation testing for a consumer-facing connectivity platform. This hybrid role combines hands-on Selenium and API test development with test planning, execution, and team leadership. Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day QA and testing activities for automation initiatives across UI and backend services
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver and API testing tools
  • Define test strategies, automation frameworks, and execution plans aligned with project goals
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to define test scenarios, validate requirements, and improve coverage

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Testing with a focus on Automation
  • Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Java or Python, and API Testing tools, such as Postman or RestAssured
  • Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Version Control systems, and Defect Tracking tools
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Houston, TX

Desired Skills:

  • Experience testing Wi-Fi systems or working in the airline domain
  • Exposure to cloud testing environments such as AWS or Azure and containerized deployments such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
