Job description
- Administer, maintain, and support the District's Student Information System and related databases.
- Coordinate the collection, validation, and submission of state and federal reports, including student enrollment, attendance, testing, and accountability data.
- Manage data imports, exports, integrations, and reporting across multiple district systems and applications.
- Collaborate with school and district administrators to ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Provide training and technical support to staff on student information systems and related applications.
- Work with software vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and support system integrations.
- Develop reports, documentation, and training materials to support district operations.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor communication?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, The Livingston Public Schools is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Database Administrator to support and manage the District's Student Information System and related data applications. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of student and staff data, supporting state and federal reporting requirements, and providing data analysis and reporting that informs instructional and operational decision-making., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Experience administering relational databases and student information systems; experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL database structures and query development.
- Experience with state and federal educational reporting requirements preferred.
- Experience with Genesis Student Information System strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, lookup functions, and pivot tables.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
