Job description
The Application Teams are responsible for the effective implementation, optimization, maintenance, and support of Epic System applications at Penn Medicine. Analysts will contribute to the seamless delivery of Epic solutions, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence. Analysts are responsible for performing these duties while meeting the policies and standards of Penn Medicine and Corporate IS., * Performs analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving of simple and intermediate complex issues at the technical, interface and application levels. Identifies root-cause, recommends, tests, and implements changes.
- Provides guidance and support to team members, contribute their expertise to decision-making processes, and collaborate with stakeholders. Communicate their insights, recommendations, and findings to the team and stakeholders.
- Understands integration between various applications and functionality within those applications. Serves to assure full integration of systems and devices utilizing interfacing standards and vendor provided utilities.
- Provides customer service and acts as a liaison between the operational departments and Information Services.
- Serves as application expert with an in depth understanding of application functionalities, data analysis, workflow optimization, and clinical documentation requirements. Utilizes expertise to design, build, install, modify, and test application software to support and optimize operational processes.
- Clearly defines and articulates to operational stakeholder's workflow changes that are offered with software/hardware upgrades and best practice solutions as recommended by the vendor.
- Assists with defining and documenting user requirements and system scope. Reviews and collects information regarding potential system enhancements.
- Maintains thorough documentation of configurations, customizations, and support processes.
- Complies with all applicable guidelines, policies, and procedures of Penn Medicine to ensure necessary controls, documentation, and audit trails.
Requirements
- HS Diploma And 8+ years Relevant experience working within Healthcare Applications or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, * Associate of Arts or Science and 7+ years Relevant experience working within Healthcare Applications or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Experience collaboratively analyzing requirements, designing and implementing technical solutions across both private and public cloud technology spectrums
Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure involving significant differences in technologies, techniques, procedures, environmental factors, physical demands, or work situations.
Ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely; to present ideas, facts and technical information.

Ability to represent the organization's status as a world-renowned academic medical center when working with partners, vendors, conferences, and other public forums. Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science and 5+ years Relevant experience working within Healthcare Applications or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
