Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled IT Engineer Level 2/3 to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, and assisting in the implementation of IT projects. Will work under the guidance of one or more senior IT professionals and will be responsible for resolving routine technical issues., * Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. This includes troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- System Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and monitoring IT infrastructure, including servers, network equipment, and other IT systems. Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups.
- User Account Management: Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts, and ensure proper access control and security measures are in place.
- Software Installation and Updates: Install, configure, and update software applications on end-user devices and servers as necessary.
- Hardware Procurement: Assist in procuring IT hardware and software by specifying requirements, evaluating vendor options, and coordinating the purchasing process.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, and user manuals. Keep records of support requests and resolutions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to address technical issues and implement IT projects.
- Security: Implement and follow security best practices to protect systems and data, including antivirus, firewalls, and access control.
- Training and Education: Assist in training end-users on how to use software and hardware effectively and securely.
- Project Support: Provide support and assistance to senior IT engineers in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Problem-solving?, * Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) may be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with common operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.
- Basic knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with end-users and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Some prior experience in a technical support or IT role is often preferred.
