Job description

ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for a Stores & Inventory Technician to join a busy procurement and inventory team within a manufacturing environment.

This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys stock control, accurate record keeping, stores organisation and supporting production with the right materials at the right time.

The role is mainly focused on inventory, stock accuracy and internal material movement, with some straightforward logistics coordination where required. It would suit someone from a stores, warehouse, inventory, stock control, materials or manufacturing support background who is organised, accurate and comfortable using systems to record stock movements.

The Role

As Stores & Inventory Technician, you will support the day-to-day control of stock, materials and inventory records across the site.

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out scheduled cycle counts and stock counts
  • Recording stock movements, adjustments and transactions on the inventory system
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and escalating unresolved issues
  • Maintaining weekly stock and Kanban reports
  • Supporting stock reconciliation activity to improve inventory accuracy
  • Receiving, checking and booking in incoming materials
  • Storing materials in the correct locations with accurate labelling
  • Picking and preparing materials for production job orders
  • Delivering materials to production and engineering teams when needed
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages, excess stock or risks
  • Completing accurate data entry and maintaining stock records
  • Supporting basic delivery booking and tracking where required
  • Keeping storage areas clean, organised and safe
  • Following inventory, quality, health and safety procedures

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Warehouse experience?, The role would suit someone with experience in stores, warehouse, inventory, stock control, materials or manufacturing support.

You will need:

  • Experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory, stock control or materials role
  • Good attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Experience using an inventory, stock control or ERP system
  • Basic IT skills, including spreadsheets
  • Good organisation skills and a tidy, structured approach to work
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with different departments
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Full UK driving licence

A forklift licence would be useful, but is not essential.
