Job description
Every 3 seconds, someone in the world is diagnosed with dementia. re-Action Health Technologies is building an evidence-based, AI-powered gaming platform to slow dementia progression, combining physical activity, cognitive stimulation, social engagement, and wellbeing support in one accessible product.
Now we're looking for a game developer who wants to be part of something that genuinely matters.
The opportunity
This is a volunteer role and is unpaid at this stage. In return, you'll receive a meaningful equity stake that activates once the product reaches commercial use, sharing in the success you help build. This is a genuine co-founder-adjacent opportunity for someone who wants to own their contribution.
What you'll be doing
-
Design and develop accessible, engaging games tailored for people living with dementia and their carers
-
Collaborate with our Co-Founders to embed clinical evidence into gameplay
-
Integrate machine learning and data-driven feedback loops that personalise the experience for each user
-
Iterate based on real-world testing, our prototypes have already been trialled with users, carers, and clinical partners
-
Work closely with a passionate team of co-founders who care deeply about what they're building
Requirements
-
Experience in game development (any engine or framework - Unity, Unreal, Godot, web-based, or otherwise)
-
A genuine passion for using technology to help people, especially those living with dementia or other cognitive conditions
-
Ability to design for accessibility and non-traditional user groups such as older adults and people with cognitive challenges
-
A self-starter mindset, comfortable in an early-stage startup environment
-
Strong communication skills to work across a small, multidisciplinary founding team
Nice to have: experience with AI/ML integration, health tech, or working with clinical partners. Passion and drive matter more than a perfect CV.
