Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely technical support to end-users
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
- Assist with user account management in Active Directory
- Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot complex problems
- Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating technical solutions to non-technical users
- Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
- Assist with computer networking tasks, including troubleshooting TCP/IP connectivity issues
- Analyse computer hardware problems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Provide support for Mac OS devices

As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clients IT systems. We're a growing business based in Bagshot, Surrey. We're looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a great enjoyment in IT & computers, to provide quality support to our client base, our focus being great customer service and always a 5 star job.
As you will be moving between sites and visiting customers on-site a valid UK driving licence and own vehicle is essential (mileage paid)., Proven experience in a similar role or relevant IT support experience
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS)
- Familiarity with Active Directory user account management
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (LAN, TCP/IP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and provide effective solutions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
This is a full-time position, with working hours being 9am until 5pm, usually being situated at Bagshot, however with the flexibility to visit a client's premises.
