Job description

  • Develop and design mechanical components, systems, and products using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and specifications for manufacturing and assembly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to optimise designs for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production
  • Design and integrate hydraulic and electrical systems into mechanical assemblies
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, test procedures, and user manuals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototyping and production phases
  • Contribute to R&D projects by researching new technologies and materials
  • Ensure designs meet safety regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure proper implementation of designs
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, proficiency in industry-standard design software, and hands-on experience with metal fabrication, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.   • 3-8 years of professional experience in mechanical design engineering
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Extensive experience in metal fabrication techniques and processes
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems design and integration
  • Experience with electrical systems, including battery and mains power
  • Proven track record of successful R&D project contributions
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
