Job description

As an NX CAD Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for the Siemens NX CAD software and associated plugins/applications and infrastructure of software. You will work closely with design, engineering and IT teams to manage issues through to resolution. In addition to fault resolution, you will also play a key part in the testing and rollout of new releases to various projects, while working closely with the infrastructure team to understand how systems are configured as part of the wider digital thread.

Core duties:

  • Provide technical support and guidance for the Siemens NX CAD software user base
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and application issues efficiently
  • Support the testing, validation and rollout of new NX releases across projects
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, design and IT teams to optimise support services
  • Liaise with vendor support teams for complex technical issues and escalations
  • Maintain awareness of the latest Siemens NX features, updates and best practices
  • Assist in understanding and supporting system configurations within the digital thread environment
  • Manage multiple support priorities within a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities across CAD support processes

Requirements

Do you have experience in Continuous improvement?, * Proven experience supporting or working with Siemens NX CAD software

  • Strong understanding of CAD processes and engineering workflows
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Willingness to go through enhanced security clearance (DV)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, design and IT teams
  • Knowledge of PLM systems would be advantageous
