Job description
Are you a hands-on IT engineer who thrives on variety? Do you enjoy splitting your time between solving complex technical challenges in the office, supporting end users remotely, and heading out on the road to deliver first-class on-site service?, * Acting as the primary on-site contact for client installations, infrastructure projects and reactive support
- Visiting client premises to install and maintain network equipment, servers, hardware and cabling
- Providing remote helpdesk support alongside the wider technical team
- Planning, scheduling and completing move, add and change projects
- Supporting the Lead Engineer with solution design, pre-sales site audits and documentation
- Carrying out asset management audits and keeping your kit and company equipment in great shape
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Microsoft Windows Server?, * A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle ( this is non-negotiable)
- Experience in IT support with a solid grasp of networks, servers and Microsoft 365
- Comfort working hands-on: cabling, hardware installs, drills, ladders
- Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels
- A calm, professional attitude and the emotional maturity to work in a small, collaborative team
- Willingness to pick up diverse tasks and adapt quickly
- Self-motivation, initiative and a genuine enthusiasm for technology
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Windows Server (inc. Terminal Services / RDS), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with virtualisation (VMware / Hyper-V) or Azure
- SharePoint implementation experience
- Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, switching, wireless infrastructure or cabling standards
