Job description

The Bilingual Production Team Lead serves as a frontline leader responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations, driving production performance, promoting a culture of safety, and serving as a communication bridge between English-speaking and Spanish-speaking team members. This role provides leadership, coaching, training, and operational support to production associates while ensuring quality, productivity, and attendance expectations are achieved., Production Leadership

  • Lead and support a team of production associates in achieving daily production goals.
  • Coordinate workflow and staffing assignments to maximize efficiency and meet production schedules.
  • Monitor production output and address issues that impact safety, quality, delivery, or productivity.
  • Assist supervisors and managers in implementing operational improvements.
  • Promote accountability and positive employee engagement throughout the production team.
  • Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate daily production priorities., * Provide real-time translation and interpretation between English-speaking leadership and Spanish-speaking employees.
  • Ensure company policies, safety procedures, quality standards, and training materials are clearly communicated in both English and Spanish.
  • Support employee onboarding, coaching, corrective actions, and performance discussions.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding workplace questions and concerns.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote company's commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Conduct safety observations and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and near misses.
  • Support new employee safety training and ongoing safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Verify products meet established quality standards.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality concerns.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support standardized work practices and process improvements.
  • Encourage employee involvement in problem-solving and waste reduction efforts.

Training & Development

  • Train new employees on production processes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Cross-train team members to improve operational flexibility.
  • Coach employees on performance expectations and job skills.
  • Assist supervisors with documenting training progress and performance development.

Attendance & Workforce Management

  • Monitor attendance and communicate staffing concerns to leadership.
  • Assist with shift coverage planning and workforce allocation.
  • Support employee retention initiatives through engagement and recognition efforts.
  • Maintain accurate production and training records.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Team supervision?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with manufacturing experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate a diverse workforce in a fast-paced production environment., * High School Diploma or GED.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • 2+ years of manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience.
  • 1+ year of leadership, team lead, trainer, or supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and quality documentation.

Preferred

  • Experience in boat manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, or assembly operations.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience training and developing employees.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and manufacturing safety practices.
  • Experience working with diverse and multicultural teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motion activities.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production equipment.
