Technology Applications Specialist

This role focuses on creating, configuring, and maintaining reusable print production templates within an ERP system to streamline estimating, costing, and production planning processes. The ideal candidate understands both print production workflows and ERP configuration, and can translate customer requirements into accurate, standardized production templates., * Design and build reusable work templates in the ERP system for common print jobs.

• Configure template sections such as cover pages, body pages, and finishing/assembly components.
• Set up production details including press selection, print tasks, finishing, materials, and layouts.
• Apply print production knowledge (imposition, bleeds, single/double-sided printing, up-on-sheet configurations) when creating templates.
• Incorporate paper stocks, binding, cutting, coating, and finishing options into job templates.
• Enable estimators and project managers to quickly generate accurate job estimates using templates.
• Maintain template accuracy, updates, and version control.
• Collaborate with operations and IT teams to improve ERP workflows.
• Continuously refine templates and processes using a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) improvement approach.

Do you have experience in Production management software?, Someone who combines print industry expertise with ERP system configuration skills, can build and manage production templates, improve estimating accuracy, and drive process standardization and efficiency across print operations, * Strong knowledge of print production workflows and job lifecycles.

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Avanti or similar); understanding of ERP applications and XML is beneficial.
• Experience in job costing, estimating, or production planning.
• Ability to convert customer requirements into production workflows.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and process-standardization capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Commercial print, digital print, or print operations environments.
• Workflow management systems.
